The books for
everything you run.
A mobile-first accounting app for UK sole traders, small businesses and landlords. Built for the people who run more than one thing, and often more than one company. However many you have, they all sit on one account, for one simple price, at a fraction of the big platforms.
Every business, one account
Two limited companies, a sole trade and a property company? Each keeps its own books, all on one account.
No more data entry
Transactions are read, categorised and enriched for you. You review rather than type.
Invoice and get paid
Estimates, invoices and what you're owed, sitting in the same books as everything else.
Tax, as you go
A running estimate of what you'll owe on current UK rates, so January isn't a surprise.
Just ask.
Edie has an assistant you talk to, by typing or out loud. Ask it to add a transaction, raise an invoice or log a journey, and it does it. Ask what you spent on fuel last quarter, or how VAT applies to something, and it answers from your own books and from the UK tax rules.
Information, not accounting advice. Anything that matters, check it with your accountant.
Why now. Making Tax Digital counts your self-employment and property income together, and wants those records kept digitally and sent to HMRC every quarter. Edie keeps those records as you go, so the quarterly update is a check-and-send rather than a scramble. Filing goes through your accountant.
About the name. Edie comes from the Old English ēad, meaning wealth, fortune or riches, and gyð, meaning battle. Prosperous in war, blessed with wealth. Running a business is a battle of its own, and prospering is what makes it worth fighting.
